Jenica and Stephan
Neither Jenica nor Stephan was looking for romance. They were both in their late 30s, and their short bios indicated that they shared similar views on health and education, had solid incomes and were searching for the same thing: a non-romantic partner to have – and raise – a child with. I was raised in a very religious culture that believed family and raising children was the most important work of one's life -- not to be missed out on and something to long for and chase after.
So when I was 30 years old and still single with no kids I started to get nervous. I thought, "If I'm 35 and still not married, then I will have a child by myself." But then I turned 35, and raising a child alone didn't seem like a realistic or desirable option. So now what?
